Kate Carr
Director at Arc: Making the Difference
Kate’s skills and insight have been developed by delivering in senior roles across the public, private and third sector.
She helped established the first ever Office of the Future Generations Commissioner for Wales as Director of Partnerships, Engagement and Communication and has served south Wales as Assistant Police and Crime Commissioner.
Her skills are in problem-solving and consensus-building to develop and drive forward strategy, underpinned by extensive experience in how communications helps to achieve this.
She is passionate about working collaboratively across public, third sector and business to build strong, resilient organisations and partnerships that can work with stakeholders and communities to deliver change, particularly for those who need it most.
Kate is a former print and broadcast journalist who has also worked for two major children’s charities. She is chair of a community interest company seeking to support young people to fulfil their potential, is a housing association board member and provides coaching and mentoring to organisations and individuals seeking to make a change.
